This obi has similar texture to sakiori obi. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
However, this piece's most wefts are yarn ( and rag strips are blended little ).
This piece has colorful check pattern.
It has several small holes as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
