This is a wonderful maru obi from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
Phoenix and 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) motifs are woven boldly. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
*Approx background color - very pale gray
