This fukusa is from around Taisho period(1912-1925).
It has charming mandarin duck and ume blossom motifs, which are elaborately embroidered. Glass is added in the eyes. Textile is black shusu silk, and lined with chirimen silk.
Mandarin duck is the symbol of strength of marriage, so this piece might to be used at marriage.
Tow tassels are missing and there are some flaws as photos show.
