This is a vintage dark brown men's haori.
In the lining, it has unique picture - Shoki sama and ogres are dyed vividly!

It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.

* Shouki-sama is thought to be guardian angel. Shouki-sama is the very popular motif of nobori bata, and this piece has exceptionally cool touch.
Shouki-sam lived in China in ancient times. He studied hard, and went through the civil servant examinations at top record. But the emperor feared his appearance, and reject him. Shouki-sama killed himself in despair. But afterward when the emperor got ill, he appeared in the emperor's dream, and got rid of hoodman. Shouki-sama said ' I killed myself. But I was burried reverently, so I decided to get rid of any trouble from this country.' Emperor regretted, and ordered a painter to draw Shouki, and enshrined him as a god. So here in Japan, Shouki-sama is enshrined as a god of entrance exam and apotropaism.
