We are very sorry but the price above is not mistake.
This piece is made of comparatively thick cotton(soft and good touch!), and has wonderful natural
ai color.
In the shoulder, spider motif is dyed with
tsutsugaki technique.
What an artistic picture it is!
In the laple, characters are dyed, which reads 'Yamawaki'.
This piece is from Hiroshima ( or Oakayama ), and seemed to be worn at the festival.
So far now, we don't know how and where this kimono was worn, but it had to be for the special role of the festival.
It seems to be from Meiji period(1868-1912). ( It can be from ending Edo Period( 1603-1867), but we are not sure.)
Its flaws are not disturbing, and as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this museum class piece!
