This is a very rare chuya obi(reversible obi) from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
One side has rare war pattern - bayonet, rising sun flag, battle planes and China map are dyed.
Another side is made jinken(rayon) fabric, and this side has elegant royal cart and flowers.
War motif side might be the wrong side, and owner might tie only the royal cart side. We can not imagine the how the war motif side could be dressed, but it is easily thought that owner didn't have other jinken(rayon) fabric for this obi ( it was hard times).
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
