This is a silk bolt which was obi ( from pre WWII). It is unpicked and lining is removed.
It has elegant 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ) and pine tree motifs, which are dyed at short intervals.
It has slightly textured and crisp touch.
There are some flaws as photos show.
Still it will be a good material for your handicraft.
