This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has unique festival cart and houses pattern, which is dyed.
Textile is tsumugi silk, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
It has discoloration in the chest as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
It must be an excellent material for your handicraft!
*You need a lining fabric to sew houmongi from this fabric. And sewing houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
