This is an antique fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912) or earlier.
It has bold lobster motif, which is dyed.
Textile is wool. Most fukusa is made of silk, so the wool is rare. It has textured touch.
It has dyestuff stains, holes and frays. Tassels are missing and detached(two tassels are detached, and the rest are missing).
It is lined with rinzu silk.
We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very valuable piece.
