This is a valuable men's muso haori from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
'Muso' means 'outside and inside are made of a series of a fabric'. Adding pattern in the inside part is more fiddly than normal haori, so 'muso' haori is more valuable and expensive than usual haori.
This piece is made of sha, transparent silk, and inside has tree and stream motif, which is dyed.
Outside has dragonfly motif, which is dyed with very detail touch ( and embroidery is added on it ).
Please check its wonderful details with more photos.
Sleeves are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
Textile has soft and comfortable touch.
Black color is very slightly discolored and there are some stains and patinas.
As a whole it is in very good condition.
*Approx background color - black
