This vintage boy's kimono is made of chirimen(crepe) silk, and has wonderful samurai and cherry blossom motif, which is dyed vividly. Some parts are added embroidery.
The samurai is Takanori Kojima. He is a famous samurai in Kamakura Era(1185-1333). He was trying to recapture the Emperor, but he couldn't. He carved a kanji poem in the trunk of a cherry tree, which cheered on the Emperor. His text was difficult, and only the Emperor could understand the meaning.
It has a large stain, and couple of holes, and some other flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is still very charming piece!
