This is a kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women. This piece is made of ro, summer sheer silk, and has exotic waterfall scenery picture, which is dyed with yuzen technique.
It is dyed in 'ryozuma' ( mirror image design, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII) pattern, and has wonderful old fashioned taste of Taisho period(1912-1925).
Black color is slightly discolored and has some stains, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
