This is an incredible uchishiki, fabric used in a temple.
Its butterfly, bamboo and flower pattern is fully embroidered elaborately!
Please check its wonderful embroidery work with more photos.
Text in the wrong side can be read as Meiji 15(1883). However, textile must be made Edo Period( 1603-1867) as kosode kimono, and remade as uchishiki in MMeiji period.
Because of its old age, it has some flaws as photos show.
However, it is valuable piece for its Edo embroidery fabric!
