This large fukusa is from ending Edo Period( 1603-1867) or Meiji period(1868-1912). It has bold and vivid crane motif, which is fully embroidered elaborately. Eyes are made of glass. Please enjoy its incredible embroidery work with more photos. Textile is navy shusu silk, and lined with chirimen silk. It has several snags ( or uneven spots of embroidery ). 'Tear' in the figure is 'detaching of thick embroidery thread' ( sorry not tear). Lining has stains, hole and discoloration. As a whole it is in very good condition. ( Figure:black mark - right side, red mark - wrong side )
