This is an very old picture around Meiji period(1868-1912).
It was from an old uchishiki(fabric for Buddhist altar) maker in Kyoto. Stunning phoenix picture is drawn on thin paper with very skilled touch.
At a glance, you must tell it was the design sample of uchishiki.
It has discoloration and more than several small tears mainly in the hems.
