This maru obi is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989), and has FABULOUS design - phoenix, 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum), paulownia and 'kaendaiko'(drum with flame) are woven elaborately all over it. In the drum, stunning dragon motif is also woven!
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has the highest quality of woven obi.
It has some snags and very slight frays in the corners. As a whole it is almost in excellent condition.
