This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has exotic wave/wheel/flowers motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has patinas and slight smudges, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
It must be an excellent material for your handicraft!
*You need a lining fabric to sew houmongi from this fabric. And sewing houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
