This is a fabulous maru obi from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). 'Kodo'- body of 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) motif is woven with artistic touch. In kodo, stunning shishi motif is also woven! Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch. It has some slight flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
