This is a fabulous maru obi from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It has eye-catching shishi and peony motif, which is dyed boldly. One side has three shishi parts, and one part has beautiful embroidery. Another side has one shishi part, and one peony part has embroidery. Approx 65% of both sides are patterned.
Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and bold woven pattern.
It has some stains and a slight folding. As a whole it is in very good condition.
