Have you ever seen a kimono like this piece?
Foxes motif is dyed with 'torii'(shrine gate). Fox is thought to be the messenger of God of Inari Shrine. Two foxes, white and brown ones are dyed. White fox is the messenger of God, but usual foxes are also thought to be a kind of specter. White fox is fighting against evil one.
We don't know why such picture is dyed, but anyway its detail and design is FABULOUS! Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos.
Inside has ema(wooden plaque) motif.
It was worn by geisha, and called susohiki. Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room.
Owner had to be a famous geisha when she was dancing in Kyoto.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
