This fukusa is from Meiji period(1868-1912). It has bold peony and fan motifs, which are elaborately embroidered. Textile is navy shusu silk, and lined with chirimen silk.
Right side has some slight stains, slight smudges, and discoloration of white embroidery threads. Embroidery stitch is coming loose in a part. Lining has a hole, prominent discoloration, smudges and a seam is coming loose in the center part. As a whole it is in very good condition.
