This piece is called 'uma-no-harakake'. It was used to cover the horse('uma')'s belly('hara').
Textile is thick asa, Japanese hemp - it has very textured and stiff touch.
'Takanoha'(hawk's feather) kamon motif is dyed with tsutsugaki technique boldly. Background color is deep ai navy.
It has slight stains but as a whole it is nearly in excellent condition.
