This is a kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women. This piece is from pre WWII, and has colorful 'ryozuma' ( mirror image design, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII) pattern, which is dyed with yuzen technique. Scenery picture is dyed vividly and some parts are added embroidery.
Textile is silk, and some parts are blended urushi coated threads in weft threads, which makes this kurotomesode special.
It has some stains, patinas and black color is very slightly discolored. As a whole it is in very good condition.
