This is a rare funeral kimono - kazuki. It is worn by covering one's head. Because of its wearing way, the neck it different from other kimono.
That is the costume for lamenting at the funeral.
Exotic scenery motif is hand painted with yuzen technique.
Textile is thin silk and not lined.
It has large tears in the both sleeves. There are small holes at places, but textile doesn't become weak.
It has some some stains and discoloration. We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very charming piece for its fantastic design.
