This is a kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women. This piece is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989), and made of ro, summer sheer silk.
It has dramatic 'katawaguruma' ( wheels of royal cart, which are stored in the stream to avoid drying ) motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique. In the left lower part, gorgeous and fine embroidery is added ( tassels, wheel and cloud parts).
Please check its details with more photos. You must be astonished to see its artisan's spiritual work!
It has some flaws as photos show (black color has slight discoloration) , but as a whole it is in very good condition.
