This vermilion haori is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has charming 'orizuru'(origami crane) and ume blossom motifs, which are dyed with shibori technique. In ume blossom motif, flowers and other motifs are colorfully dyed. Textile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has hollyhock pattern. Sleeves and bodice are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII. It has some stains, slight discoloration/smudges as photos show. However, as a whole it is in very good condition. *Approx background color - vermilion Softness ( Exceptionally Soft, □ Soft, Medium, Comparatively Stiff, Stiff ) Photo:Higashi |
