This is a sakiori hanhaba obi. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving. The rag
strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
This piece has beautiful check pattern.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
