This is a large uchishiki, fabric for Buddhist altar. It is made of ro, summer sheer silk, and lined with cotton. It has beautiful embroidery work.
It was dedicated in Showa 35(Showa:1961).
It has some stains, discoloration and many embroidery stitches are coming loose as photos show. As a whole it is in very good condition.
