This is an antique kesa, which seems to be from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has tasteful marumon(circle pattern), which has ume blossom and hollyhock motif, and cloud pattern. They are woven elaborately.
It is lined with thin pale sky silk.
It has couple of small holes and a tear in the hem. There are slight stains and patinas at places. It has some couple of prominent small stains and slight frays.
As a whole it is in very good condition.
