This is a FABULOUS blue kimono from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It has cute children motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique. This dyeing work is SPECIAL! Its picture is vivid and artistic, and at a time incredibly detailed! Delicate embroidery is also added at places. Please enjoy its incredible details with more photos.
aTextile is rinzu, silk with damask effect, and has stylish check pattern.
Sleeves are gracefully long and lined with red silk, which are the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
It has some stains, patinas and slight smudges as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
