This fukusa is from Meiji period(1868-1912), and has eye-catching 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ) and flowers motifs, which is dyed with
yuzen technique. Some parts are added embroidery.
Please enjoy its exceptionally gorgeous and skilled
yuzen work details with more photos!
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
