This is a fabulous fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has beautiful old wise man and ume blossom motifs, which are elaborately embroidered. Its embroidery work is supreme! You must tell its quailty only with our photos.
Textile is navy shusu silk, and lined with plain silk.
It has some stains and a snag. ( A part is a stain and embroidered tassels part become uneven. In the B part, brown embroidery threads seemed to be missing partly - very small part, and C part is frays.).
As a whole it is in very good condition.
