This is a FABULOUS kesa, monk's gown.
It seems to be from Meiji period(1868-1912) or earlier. Dragon and takara motifs are woven elaborately. Red part has stunning shishi motif. Please enjoy its wonderful woven details with more photos.
It is lined with plain silk.
It is very old, but its right side's condition is very good. Lining fabric has prominent discoloration. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this graceful kesa!
