This is a superb uchikake from Taisho period(1912-1925). It has dramatic phoenix, pine tree and flowers are dyed boldly - its yuzen work is very skilled and aritistc. Fine and gorgeous embroidery is also added at places. Textile is plain silk, and has soft and smooth touch. It has some flaws as photos show, but stains and discolorations are not prominent, and as a whole it is very beautiful piece. *Approx background color - HTML code ( 3F287A)
