This is a purple color nagoya obi from pre WWII. It has a bold cloud motif pattern, which is dyed with shibri technique. shibori is Japanese tie dyeing technique, and it gives the textile such an unique texture. Textile is silk and has soft touch. There are several noticeable patina on the wide part. Narrow part also has a few patina and smugdge on the corners. There is a prominent stain in the back of the wide part but as a whole, it is in very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( D91DC5)
