This is a nagoya obi from pre WWII. It has circle patterned 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'ume'(plum flowers) motifs, which are woven colorfully in blue, red, and yellow colors. Textile is silk and has soft touch.
There are several snags and frays(not specified in the photos). Yellow motif parts have noticeable frays and yellow threads are disappearing. As a whole, it is in very good condition.
*Nagoya obi needs some accessories to complete the square bow in a traditional style.
You will need an obi makura pillow, obijime cord and obiage sash. Please contact us if you need accessories.
