This is a men's juban from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has dynamically designed 'Shogi' pieces motifs, which are dyed with
shibori technique.
shogi is a Japanese version of chess game. There are also various
shogi pieces and some of them have a charming dyed pattern. In addition, there are
shibori dyed japanese charactor motifs. Please check more photos for the details. Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch.
There are some stains, patina, and discoloration but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
