This is a fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912). It has a fabulous Takasago motif, which is ELABORATELY embroidered. Please check more photos to see the FINE embroidery work! Textile is shusu silk, lined with chirimen(fine crepe) silk.
There are soem stains, hole,patina, and discoloration but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
**Left square on the flaw indication paper shows the front, and right one shows the back of the fukusa.
