This is a black nagoya obi from pre WWII. It has a beautiful kimono lady motif, which is dyed tastefully. Narrow part has a charming kimono girl with maple leaf motifs. Please check more photos for the details. Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch.
There are fray on the corners, maple leaf motifs around the kimono lady motif are fading and almost disappearing, and patina appear on the motifs. Narrow part also has a few stains and patina but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
*Nagoya obi needs some accessories to complete the square bow in a traditional style.
