This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has elegant flowers and scenery motif, which is dyed (dyestuff has resin touch).
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some slight discoloration, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
It must be an excellent material for your handicraft!
*You need a lining fabric to sew houmongi from this fabric. And sewing houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
