This is a black fukuro obi from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has bold 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) motifs, which are woven elaborately. Many parts of the motifs are woven with gold threads and looks very gorgeous. Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch.
There are a few noticeable snags and slight folding line but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
