This is a FABULOUS Geisya's susohiki kimono from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
What a wonderful design this piece has!
'Karako'(karako is child figure in China) and takara ship are dyed with yuzen technique. Its yuzen work is detailed, vivid and artistic! Please enjoy its wonderful yuzen work with more photos.
Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room. It has very long length and eye-catching design.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has soft touch.
It has slight discoloration and many stains, however as a whole, it is in a very good condition.
We highly recommend this attractive Geisha's susohiki!
