This is a APPEALING Geisya's susohiki kimono from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
Many fans are colorfully dyed with yuzen technique - and its theme is 'tousenkyo', which is the fan-throw-game. Among the fans, you can find a target dyed in the left front.
What a gorgeous atmosphere this piece has!
Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room. It has very long length and eye-catching design. This piece's bottom is padded.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has soft touch.
Black color is slightly discolored. There are several stains, wear in the lapel and lining also has stains, discoloration and seam is coming loose. However as a whole, it is in a very good condition.
We highly recommend this fabulous black susohiki!
