This is a rare 'muso' michiyuki from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). Muso' means ' outside and inside is made of the same fabric, and not cut between outside and inside. So when dyeing, all motifs and design had to be designed in a fabric. Muso itself is very valuable, but this piece is SPECIAL for its dyeing work - chrysanthemum, bamboo and ume blossom are dyed in fan shape and many parts are dyed with shibori technique. Embroidery is also added. In addition, iside part has impressive peony motif picture, which is dyed boldly with yuzen technique. Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch. It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition. *shoulder seam to shoulder seam 24.4in(62cm) *Approx background color - HTML code ( D67D5E) ■■■ Softness ( Exceptionally Soft, □ Soft, Medium, Comparatively Stiff, Stiff ) photo:nono |
