This is a black fukuro obi from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has bold 'ume'(plum flowers), and 'matsu'(pine tree) motifs, which are woven elaborately. Each motif has beautiful gradation and looks very eye-catching on the black fabric. Please check more photos for the details. Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch. There are a folding line and a few stains. On the gold motif parts, there are discoloration looking parts but it could be the design. It has no stiff lining but as a whole, it is in very good condition. *Approx background color - black Softness ( Exceptionally Soft, □ Soft, Medium, Comparatively Stiff, Stiff ) |
