This is a supreme maru obi from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
Butterfly, ume blossom and chrysanthemum motifs are woven boldly.
What a wonderful design it is!
In addition, its textile is exquisite and high-end silk, and has soft and comfortable touch.
It seems not to be used, and there is not prominent flaws ( couple of small snags, very very slight patinas in some white parts ).
We are very happy to be able to offer this piece, because not used vintage supreme maru obi is EXCEPTIONALY rare.
