This fukusa seems to be from ending Edo Priod( 1603-1867).
It has unique crane and pine tree motifs, which are fully embroidered. Please enjoy its embroidery technique variety with more photos.
Incredible embroidery work!
Textile is blue shusu silk and lined with chirimen silk.
A tassel is missing.
Right side has many slight smudges or stains in the background part. There are couple of small holes. Black embroidery threads of cranes' tails are almost fully missing. A thick embroidery thread is coming loose.
The wrong side has many small holes.
However, it is still wonderful piece for its incredible embroidery!
