This is a uchishiki, fabric for Buddhist altar from Meiji period(1894). It has various lotus leaf motifs, which are elaborately embroidered. The textile is silk, lined with cotton.
There are some stains, tear, holes, fray, and discoloration but as a whole, it is in very good condition.
