This is a magnificent kesa, monk's gown.
It is from Meiji period(1868-1912), and made of gorgeous silk fabric. Crane, chrysanthemum, pine tree and bamboo motifs are woven finely in the brown background.Gold part has dragon motif! Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos.
It has soft and comfortable touch.
It has slight frays all over it. Wrong side has tears in the corners. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
