This is a FANTASTIC futon from pre WWII.
Photos are inner sides - padding is removed and made inside out.
It is made and repaired various cotton fabrics, includes tsutsugaki, shibori and kasuri cotton. Sashiko stitches are done all over it.
I(Ichiro) LOVE this piece!
It is really an unintended art!
